The new ‘Lion King’ film is currently being shot in Los Angeles by Favreau.

Oscar-nominated actor, Chiwetel Ejiofor, is in talks to voice the villain, Scar, in the live-action remake of the classic animation, The Lion King.

According to THR, Ejiofor would be joining star-studded cast that includes Donald Glover, James Earl Jones and Seth Rogen.

Billy Eichner and John Oliver have also been cast in the new film being directed by Jon Favreau.

Glover would voice the main character, Simba, while Jones would voice his father, Mufasa, just as he did in the 1994 original.

The new Lion King is currently being shot in Los Angeles by Favreau, who was behind the helms of another live-action remake, The Jungle Book.
