LINKIN PARK CANCELS TOUR FOLLOWING CHESTER BENNINGTON’S DEATH Ifeanyi Amadi July 22, 2017 Entertainment In the wake of Chester Bennington’s tragic death, Linkin Park has canceled their “One More Light Tour.” Live Nation confirmed the news and offered refunds to fans. “We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Chester Bennington,” said the concert promoter. “Refunds are available at point of purchase. The group’s final show with Bennington was earlier this month, on July 6 in Birmingham, England. The tour came in support of Linkin Park’s latest album, One More Light, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. It was the group’s sixth chart-topping LP overall. Bennington’s body was found on July 20. The influential rock singer apparently hanged himself at a Palos Verdes Estates residence in Los Angeles. He is survived by six children from two marriages. He was 41.
